We believe open conversation and transparency is the only way for growth and development to occur. Comments supplied by your team members are a critical component in providing managers with insight to foster meaningful conversations and develop high performing teams with higher engagement and a faster ramp to productivity.
Managers can view all comments submitted by their new hires, buddies assigned to their hires, as well as the co-workers tasked to supply feedback regarding their new teammate's progress. This insight can drive meaningful conversations between the managers and their hires.
New Hires can only view comments that they've submitted to their managers. They cannot view comments supplied by their managers and other team members in support of their development. They're also unable to view comments regarding other new hires on their team.
Department Heads / Executives:
Department Heads are executives but can also be managers of new hires at the same time. As managers of their own direct teams, they can view comments submitted by their new hires', buddies, co-workers and other teammates as well as the scores that they've supplied.
Department Heads are also managers of managers. As such, they cannot view comments left by team members under managers for whom they're responsible. If a comment is left for anyone other than their new hire, then they cannot view it. For example, the Southeast Regional Director cannot see comments left in support of hires in the Northwest Region.
HR and Corporate Executives:
HR and Corporate Executives have similar access to view comments as Department Executives above. The primary difference is that they can also view check-in scores across all Departments providing them a corporate wide view of the data. This insight provides them the data necessary to optimize existing workflows and improve company wide performance. However, they cannot view comments from any users who are not direct reports.
