We're really sorry you encountered a Whoops modal at any time in your use of the platform. We do our best to address any and all coding issues that could lead to a display of the modal. We are continually improving the features and capabilities in the platform, so we appreciate your patience and understanding.
Why am I getting it?
The Whoops Modal may appear if the application receives unexpected data from the backend or if there is an unexpected error.
The vast majority of time, the following suggestions will get you back on track:
- Reload the page. Sometimes your connection to the internet can get temporarily disrupted and the flow of data from our backend systems to the web page doesn't make it through. An easy resolution so why not try it.
- Log out of the application, close all the browser screens, then then log back in. Access to the platform is governed by user sessions. Sometimes, user sessions can expire while you are in the application. Perhaps you logged in and left the computer unattended for a long time, perhaps the session length provided by your Single Sign On system expired, etc. In this case, the page you were last on will still display since it was cached before the timeout. Clicking elsewhere might therefore trigger the Whoops modal.
- Clear your browser cache. Sometimes pages that are outdated can be cached in your browser history. When you access those pages, your browser will first attempt to load the cached page rather than the new code. Clearing your cache forces the web browser to load the code from scratch.
